Isaiah’s Greatest Hits: Vitality (Part Two)

Core Singles FellowshipIsaiah 55 is a chapter about the glorious life of the redeemed, and the great God who exceeds all we can do or think.

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk  without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples. Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.” Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:1-9

Isaiah’s Greatest Hits: Vindication (Part One)

Core Singles Fellowship700 years before Jesus was born, God tells us all about it in Isaiah 53. This talk is part one of a three-part series, and is a great follow up to Easter Sunday.

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.  – Isaiah 53: 1-3

Acceptance And Our Identity

Core Singles FellowshipWe will explain how a Christian shares the same quality of relationship that Jesus has with the Father. This is because we are identified with Christ by being placed in union with Him. Acceptance of this truth gives us the freedom to have an open and heart-warming relationship with the Father.

Our relationship does not depend on what we have done or how we view our past. Our personal relationship is based upon what Christ has done for us and God’s view of us as joined to Him.

Acceptance and the Holy Spirit

Core Singles FellowshipTwo payments have been made that should cause the believer to feel accepted. The son was a payment for sin to the Father, and the Holy Spirit is a permanent down-payment to us signifying God’s intention to finish our salvation. The Holy Spirit also has a primary ministry of reminding us that God is our Heavenly Dad. This Father wants us to have a mature and affectionate relationship with Him.

So let’s start from the beginning and talk about the impact of abortion in Black America, the cost of being a Pro-Life advocate in this country and why I am Pro-Life.”
